Although I happily ran my accessories business since 2007, life got in the way, things changed, and priorities were, well, re-prioritized. I will always love Banana An and had so much fun with it but I found that I enjoyed finding the accessories, styling them and taking pictures of them much more than I liked managing the store itself. The nitty-gritty business side (finances, taxes, sourcing, managing inventory, packing & shipping etc) made me begin to dislike it more than what I loved about it. I started blogging here at HautePinkPretty.com in 2010 and quickly noticed how much I preferred blogging (styling outfits, taking photos, and interacting on Social Media sites) over running a retail business. I decided to close the store in 2012.
