Last week, my husband brought me to Matsuhisa, another favorite LA establishment for Valentine’s day dinner. Famous for being chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa (aka Nobu)’s original, very first restaurant; it’s a small quiet, unsuspecting & understated restaurant in Beverly Hills… but boy, does it blow all the other Nobu’s away! We enjoyed their special Valentine’s Omakase – 7 courses of the best and most exotic of Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature dishes. I apologize in advance for not knowing any of the names
but I assure you, they were each amazing! Next time you’re in LA or if you’re an Angeleno but have never been – I highly recommend it!
Most perfect hamachi dish, ever.
This lobster course was by far our favorite of the seven!
Wagyu amazingness
I mentioned a while back that I just didn’t have the palette for Uni but I must say, this piece right here changed my world! I am now an Uni fan – but more than likely it only applies to Matsuhisa’s Uni
I need to find out where he gets his sea urchins!
Lobster Miso – it wasn’t as photogenic as the others
it just looked like the average miso soup on camera but WOW talk about delicious, imagine a decadent lobster broth with a touch of miso and huge chunks of lobster – amazing!
Unfortunately, I didn’t have any of this dessert because I gave up sweets for Lent, but Chris assured me it was just as yummy as it looked
How was your Valentine’s day? Hope you’ve all had a great week!! By the time this post publishes, MAGIC is over but I’m still in Vegas
