I attended Joico‘s Turn Heads event last week at the beautiful SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills with some of my favorite fellow blogger friends (Sheryl & Joo). We had the opportunity of learning more about their latest products (especially their Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex technology) and chat with the Joico team including International Artistic Director, Damien Carney. He’s kind of a huge deal 😉 just sayin’! Anyway, we had a blast – the event itself was beautiful! Yummy bites displayed right when we walked in, including a pretty color coordinated sweets bar that matched the gorgeous Joico hair models! We also enjoyed frozen sorbet like cocktails by the mixologist manning the bar. Of course, we also took home a fabulous set of Joico products, too!

I was particularly fascinated with the Bio-Advanced Peptide Complex – this patent-pending DNA technology restores peptides that are lost over time as hair becomes damaged. The DNA-based breakthrough restores the peptides and wraps each individual strand protecting it for over 25 washes! What I personally loved was that, when I used the products (prior to attending this event) on my hair in this post, putting my hair in a high donut bun, I was so surprised to see that after taking my bun apart, brushing my hair out – my locks were brand new again! Fresh and wavy, what would normally take me washing my hair, blowdrying and restyling to do. The hair products don’t leave your hair flaky and gross when you brush it out – even the 4 layers of hair spray I packed on when putting my hair up! It was amazing and after actually learning what it’s all about and how Joico does it – I’m even more in love. SO GENIUS!
