Saying I’m obsessed with this dress would be an understatement. It exudes my quintessential style – on trend, a little edgy and super girly! Like, if I designed a dress – it would look something like this 🙂 I love anything unexpectedly leather (or faux) and absolutely adore the laser eyelet cutouts and the flirty feminine shape. Plus, this is what I wore to brunch on Sunday and my husband teased me the whole day, calling me his sexy doily LOL. I kind of do look like a doily – a shiny (faux) leather, doily! 😛

Petrossian’s AMAZING Egg Royale – I could easily eat a dozen of these delicious little guys!

So, this isn’t the first time Petrossian has made an appearance on my blog (previously seen here and here) – after all, it is my favorite LA restaurant! What makes this post extra special to me is – we’ve always dined there for dinner but this was our first time having brunch at Petrossian! In addition to having a delicious caviar filled brunch, I also had GREAT LIGHTING! Yay!! 🙂 So you can finally see what I’m so obsessed with under pretty natural lighting as opposed to the grainy shots I shared before.

When I was browsing through a rack of these fun, distressed Chaser shirts, most of which were of pretty awesome rock bands, this NPR Newsprint shirt stopped me in my tracks and tickled the nerd inside of me 🙂 It definitely brought me back to my childhood in San Diego when I would spend my afternoons (after school) with my Dad at his auto shop – he would have NPR playing all day while he worked. As I grew up, I found myself listening to it, too, during my daily commutes to and from work. It’s a nice reminder to stay informed on what’s going on around the world – outside of our fashion bubble 😉 Okay, fine, it’s a cute shirt to rock on a casual day out, too! lol! So, here’s a nod at my fellow closet geeks and at one of my favorite TV sitcom characters, Dr. Sheldon Cooper! 😛

When I first saw these gorgeous statement pieces from the Coca Rocha Collection for Senhoa – I instantly felt like I needed to channel my inner rocker babe. It’s rare that you’ll see my hair in its natural state on my blog 🙂 but I abuse it so much with blow-drying, curling and products that I’ve been trying to give it a break this week. I’m not gonna lie, I’m falling love with the messyness of it all. It really brings out the edge in this look – that and this awesome chainmaille cardigan by Chaser Brand. I mean, how much better could it really get?! Oh wait, it does get better! The slits in this tank top are so strategically placed that I kind of want to go cut slits into all my tees and tanks. Paired with my new snake print meets camo pants from Lavishville that are so comfortable I didn’t even have to think about it, and this waxed canvas Mojo Backpack that made it too easy for me to throw everything I need inside – I almost didn’t blog this outfit JUST so I could wear it again (yes, things like this really do cross my mind!) *sigh*

By the way, I found out while writing up this post that there is a strange number of ways to spell chain mail – chain maille, chainmaille, chain maille, maille, chainmail, chainmaile, chain maile, maile. Thank you for that, Google.
