This post is LONG overdue! A couple months back, I had the super fun opportunity to be on a Google+ Hangout On Air with Timbuk2 chatting about upcoming trends and their awesome custom designed bags. Afterwards, I got to use their customize tool to design my very own laptop bag. It was so much fun! Especially since I could finally say adios to my boring old plain black Dell bag that I was using. Customizing my bag was SO EASY, but deciding on what I wanted was SO HARD! All the various styles, colors options, prints and designs were super cute and the combinations you can create are endless so being as indecisive as I am, it took dozens of different combinations to finally narrow down what I wanted. Here’s one of the other combos I made (the tool is so easy and fun that it’s super addicting):

The bag I customized was their Laptop Messenger – it has tons of room for my 15″ work laptop, iPad, and all the chargers, mouse and can even fit a couple binders/folders and my personal belongings (I use it as my personal bag in addition to my carry on when I fly). I even throw in my camera sometimes when traveling with it. I added on the Tough-Tek Strap Pad which was the perfect amount of extra padding for your shoulder, especially when I carry so many gadgets! I also added the Shagg Bag which fits & protects both of my cell phones (work & personal) plus any credit cards or IDs.

Love the Shagg Bag for easy access to my ID & cell phone when traveling! The inside is lined with a super soft fuzzy liner that protects and won’t scratch your cell phone or camera or whatever gadget you decide to use it for.

I apologize for the grainy/blurry pictures of me 🙂 lighting inside of Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport wasn’t working with me. These pictures were from a month ago when I finally had the chance to put my bag to use during a trip to Sin City. Sseko Sandals – Help Women in East Africa This Holiday Season!

I recently learned about an amazing company called Sseko Design. They are a sandal company based in Uganda where they make beautiful leather sandals with interchangeable fabric straps that can be styled in hundreds of ways. Sseko began as a way to generate income for high potential, talented young women to continue on to university. They also employ a full-time team of women from all walks of life, providing the opportunity for women in East Africa to end the cycle of poverty and create a more equitable society.

Supporting Sseko Designs means providing employment and scholarship opportunities to women pursuing their dreams and overcoming poverty. In exchange for a 9-month working program, Sseko provides women in Uganda with a full college education. They also provide assistance by offering fair wage employment to over 50 women, affording grant programs in which Sseko Designs matches 100% of their savings for a University scholarship. In addition, they provide 100% health coverage/insurance and supply monthly preventative health and wellness training and services for full time staff, among countless other benefits.

Pretty darn amazing – and with the holidays quickly approaching, it’s also the perfect holiday gift idea or stocking stuffer! Fair trade fashion, for a wonderful cause… it’s definitely the heart warming gift that keeps on giving 🙂

…that’s exactly who this outfit made me feel like 🙂 minus the floor length number.

The largest annual LA Fashion Blogger holiday party, Snowball, is right around the corner (this weekend) and the dress code is very much prom appropriate so, I had to think prom dresses when shopping for what to wear. This gorgeous SUPER SPARKLY dress immediately caught my attention and is definitely the front runner right now. While most of my fellow fashion blogger friends are talking about wearing full on floor length gowns – I’m still going back and forth on that idea… though, I love twirling around in a big gown as much as the next girl, shorter cocktail lengths are just a bit more comfortable for a night of partying.

Oxblood has taken over a large chunk of my closet real estate – from clothing to accessories to shoes, it’s pretty ridiculous. What is it about this color?
