Hotel Luxury New York Sponsored

The Gershwin Hotel

An Dyer window sill

During this past New York Fashion Week, I had the lovely opportunity of staying at The Gershwin Hotel in New York’s historic NoMad District. The Gershwin was originally built in 1903 when the area served as the epicenter of the American popular music industry, frequented by Broadway and Vaudeville stars including famous composure, George Gershwin! The hotel was still under construction (with a lovely Art Nouveau style) when we stayed there but that didn’t bother us a bit. The majority of the work being done must have been during the day while we were out and about because we rarely ever heard a sound from it. We did get the exciting chance of staying in their spacious Executive Suite which included luxurious Frette linens and bathrobes, Alberta plush mattress, custom Lefroy Brooks vanity with a beautiful marble sink, C.O. Bigelow toiletries, Micro Jets Whirlpool tub & separate standing shower and a classic Style Chesterfield designed sleeper sofa bed in case any one wanted to crash our party ;). I adored the decor – all the furniture and fixtures were inspired by and/or created with musical instruments! The staff was just as impressive with impeccable customer service from start to finish. They would greet us daily in the lobby by name and went above and beyond, anytime we had a request for additional toiletries or inquiries about the amenities. Even on our very last day, they were so gracious with helping us out – storing our baggage and arranging a car service to get us to the airport in time!

We really appreciated the Micro Jets Whirlpool tub & separate standing shower! Having both in your hotel room is a rare commodity in New York!

We were greeted in the bedroom with a lovely bottle of Shiraz & Godiva chocolates – so sweet!
