Bold matte lips are the perfect beauty statement to change up any look! This month, I’ve teamed up with Ulta Beauty & People StyleWatch to share my three favorite velvet lip looks & techniques! I wanted to show how many different ways there are to achieve this look as well as the various occasions that they would be perfect for. We’re starting off with a neutral peachy nude matte lip that’s bold enough to catch your eye and perfect for brunch or a attending wedding. Next, we transition to an ultra romantic suede looking red lip that’s perfect for date night or a chic cocktail party. I achieved this bold peachy coral nude lip by lining and filling my lips with Ulta Beauty’s Automatic Lip Liner in Zest under the gorgeous Ulta Beauty Matte Lip Cream in Tender. I love how creamy this formula is and the color is gorgeous on practically any skin tone!

The Bold Date Night Lip

This stunning matte Smashbox Be Legendary Matte Lipstick formula in Infrared glides on like silk and stays feeling creamy, appearing matte all day. I love using the Ulta Beauty Cotton Applicators because one side is flat and round, ideal for picking up product, while the opposite side is pointed and perfect for touching up to give you that pro looking sharp edge.

The Bold Girls Night Out Lip

I’m obsessed with the color payoff in the Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Violet by Too Faced! One coat goes on so vibrantly that you won’t even need a lip liner. I love laying it over Ulta Beauty’s Lip Primer to fill in any lines in my lips, keeping the look velvety smooth.
