As we’ve been on this journey towards a vegan lifestyle, I’ve been incorporating more and more cruelty-free, plant based products into my beauty routine, including bath/shower time. Before I toss out my product empties (some vegan and some not), I thought it would be a great time to share what I thought of these, as well as share new products I’ve been trying lately!
I love keeping this Instant Cleansing Balm from Good Molecules nearby the bathtub because how easily it melts all my makeup off, including heavy eye makeup! I’ll follow that up with Boscia’s Cryosea Firming Icy-cold Cleanser which leaves your skin feeling so clean, cool, and refreshed. The Jasmine Oil Blend by Pixi Beauty is calming to the skin, adding moisture, and helping repair any dullness. I also love adding a few drops to the bath because it smells so good! These three products are all vegan.
Oribe’s Bright Blonde Shampoo for Beautiful Color is so good; this purple shampoo is pigmented enough to tone brassy hair without staining my hands! Plus I really appreciate that it’s vegan, along with many of their other products. In between toning washes, I’ve been finishing up my bottle of Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo from Kerastase. While this one unfortunately isn’t vegan, I do like how well it’s kept my oily roots under control. I’ll be looking for something similar that’s cruelty free to replace this with now that it’s empty (if you know of any, please comment them below and I’ll check them out!) For conditioning treatments, I’m still using Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 before shampooing (the bottle in the main photo is almost empty 😋), and recently started trying Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! mask after, both are vegan. If needed, I’ll gently use a comb, like these beautiful Pink Shell Combs from Victoria Emerson, to make sure my conditioner is evenly distributed.
I’m all about multitasking so when my hair is conditioning, or while I’m shaving, or soaping up, I love indulging in face masks like these vegan mini bliss spa-to-go 10-minute Facial jars you can find at Target!
I’m a new fan of these Pucker Up, Patches Hydrogel Lip Mask from POP Beauty! They hydrate and soften you lips while also lightly tingling and plumping them. I also love using Boscia’s Triple Hyaluronic and Honeydew Moisture-Boost Gel Eye Masks along with it. These under eye masks feel amazing, especially chilled in the fridge, and I really appreciate how well they stay in place. Oh and both of these brands are 100% vegan!
After bathing, I’ve been really enjoying Glow Recipe’s vegan Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream. The light watermelon scent is so perfect for Summer! Speaking of scents, Mugler’s Angel Nova Eau de Parfum is the newest addition to my perfume collection, I love the sweet fruity fragrance for this time of year. I’m not certain if it’s vegan, but I was relieved to learn that they do not test on animals. While my hair is still damp, I’ve been trying Oribe’s vegan Serene Scalp Thickening Hair Treatment Spray, and vegan Bright Blonde Essential Priming Hair Serum to moisturize, thicken, and protect my hair.
