TOP 5: Acne Clearing Products

Fortunately for my teenage self, I survived high school unscathed by acne (those years were rough enough without breaking out…) but unfortunately for me now, I’ve been plagued with hormonal acne as an adult, instead! I’ve tried so many products every single month, ???? over the years, that I wanted to share my favorite products for battling adult hormonal acne with you in case you get them, as well. They each serve a purpose so check them out below! I hope they’ll work as well for you as they have for me.

I get post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which means acne blemishes will turn into red or dark spots. This is where SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic saved the day! I apply it every single morning after I cleanse my skin, and it fades red spots & dark spots and prevents them from happening when I break out. I’ve even used it on my legs for pesky mosquito bites I get while traveling that tend to turn dark and they’ve faded away!

I love using this GlamGlow Supermud treatment weekly to keep my pores clear. You can visibly see your pore congestion pull out into this clinically developed mud mask as it sets on your face & after you rinse it off, your skin glows!

I’ve been using La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo Dual Action Acne Treatment for years now. The bottle I’m using now, in the main photo at the top of this page, was actually purchased earlier this year in Paris! It’s very affordable in Europe if you’re traveling overseas, otherwise I pick mine up from my local CVS. This treatment is formulated to penetrate and clear even stubborn blackheads and whiteheads by micro-exfoliating with LHA & fighting acne with micronized benzoyl peroxide (5.5%)! It works like a charm, and I can’t live without it!

I’m a picker, whenever a blemish shows up, it always takes extra self control not to pick at it. So if I plan on being home that day or after I cleanse my skin in the evenings, I like to apply these Acne-Clear Invisible Dots by Peter Thomas Roth. They’re like super thin acne clearing stickers that contain salicylic acid, tea tree oil and hyaluronic acid to help eliminate blemishes and limit contact to minimize the spread of bacteria!

During the day, if I’m going to be out, I’ll apply It Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Breakout Full-Coverage Treatment Concealer to acne spots. It not only visibly covers blemishes as a concealer should, but it’s also a revolutionary drying lotion! It blends right into my makeup and works throughout the day to help improve my skins clarity.

What are your favorite acne fighting products?

An Dyer
