Happy Tuesday, everyone! It’s been quite a crazy week as we’re prepping for our trip to… TOKYO! I can’t believe it’s coming up so quickly! As I was organizing my makeup for our travels (sure, that’s a “real” responsibility lol) I realized I was packing a beauty bag full of nude lipsticks so I went through and pulled out my top 5 to share! Obviously, nude lipstick is pretty self explanatory but these shades are my favorites for my NC25/NC30 complexion. I only included one liquid lipstick since I find myself preferring the traditional lipstick formulas more lately (less commitment!) but when I want the staying power, I’ve been reaching for Smashbox’s Stepping Out. This shade swatched a lot deeper than how it looks on (it’s actually very close to the natural color of my lips) but it is described as a “deep nude” so that makes sense compared to the paler shades. Thistle from Bite Beauty is definitely a more vampy shade, described as a “mauve infused taupe”, but I love it for that edgy Kylie-nude pouty lip look! When I want a pinky nude, I’ll wear Urban Decay’s Naked which has a rosy pink flush to it. The formula is creamy with a satin finish. If I’m in the mood for a truer, subtle nude, I love Make Up For Ever’s C105 since it’s more of a beige-grey shade. The finish is also satin and very creamy with amazing staying power! Last but certainly not least, my favorite peachy pale nude is Basic from Tarte! It’s a double duty product that has both a lipstick and gloss in one. You can obviously wear them separately but together, it gives you the glossiest, fullest, poutiest pout!!
What are your favorite nude lipsticks?
Xox,
An Dyer
