A few weeks ago, in celebration of OPI‘s Couture de Minnie launch, I was invited (along with fellow Vogue Influencers, Beth, Mara and Sheryl) to have an intimate lunch with OPI followed by a tour of their headquarters. We dined at Stanley’s Restaurant in Studio City (which was delicious by the way!) and chatted with OPI’s Co-Founder Suzi Weiss-Fishmann as well as Harris Shepard & Kate Tatem from Harris Shepard PR, Inc. It was such an honor to sit with them chatting about the history of OPI and learning about their amazing growth through the years. Did you know that OPI started in the dental industry?! OPI actually originally stood for Odontorium Products Inc. They transitioned into the nail business with acrylics and nail supplies (acrylics were made with ingredients similar to that in dentistry!) Who knew?! From there, they ventured into nail polishes and the rest is history!
After lunch, we headed over to their headquarters which was such a treat! We toured a few of their buildings which included their corporate offices as well as manufacturing, packaging and shipping. What OPI tour would be complete without manicures? So of course, we got to indulge in mani’s at the end of the day. By the way, their most popular color ever? OPI’s I’m Not Really a Waitress 🙂
Photos by yours truly unless otherwise notated.
Special thanks to OPI & Vogue, we had such a fabulous time!
