Last week, we had the pleasure of dining at RivaBella, a beautiful Italian restaurant by the Innovative Dining Group in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Luigi Fineo. After we were seated and placed our drink orders, in walks this pretty young thang 😉 my bestie Sheryl & her husband! The restaurant was packed & fully booked but they managed to squeeze together two smaller tables for the perfect spontaneous double date. It was the ideal situation since we wanted to try so many dishes!
Poached Lobster with ricotta, candied cashews & peach – fresh and light, the ricotta was a beautiful compliment.
Sea Bream Crudo with pink peppercorns, lemon & olive oil.
Grilled Whole Branzino with a salt duo & salmoriglio – by far our favorite dish of the night! The black salt was delicious and the perfect light seasoning to the branzino. Each of us would have happily ordered our own (next time!)
Prime Bone-In Rib Eye – wood-fired 20 oz rib eye with rosemary olive oil.
Shellfish Caciucco with lobster, Scallop, prawn, mussel & tomato, served with toasted ciabatta – delicous and unexpectedly light! Make sure you ask for extra bread to sop up all of the amazing sauce!
New Caledonian Prawns with fennel, cauliflower & pesto – lovely grilled flavor with just the right amount of seasoning.
Table-side house made vanilla ice cream sundae cart! The ice cream was light and tasted much more like birthday cake than vanilla and a zillion times amazing!
The Cronut dessert filled with custard (there was a much fancier & prettier name for this but it escapes me) – this was so decadent, we each savored every bite!
Blueberry Pie with cream cheese crust, typically served with vanilla gelato (we had it served on the side) – this was the perfect comfort dessert! The crust was perfectly fluffy and crisp while still rich and indulgent. Definitely a favorite, too!
Limoncello – what better way to finish off a beautiful Italian dinner than with the quintessential Italian dessert liquor?
Photos by yours truly 🙂
Special thanks to RivaBella for having us! It was a wonderful dinner & we can’t wait to come back again soon!
