*I have a newer bedroom decor update post here!
Every time I think I’m ready to do an apartment tour, we add something new and it makes me want to wait to take new photos! We’ve already accessorized and styled our nightstands more since taking these photos but I’ll just need to do an update on that later. 😉
When we thought about decor for our bedroom, I knew I wanted to keep our color palette very light, bright and clean. I immediately had white Frette sheets on my mind – let’s be real here, who wouldn’t want to snooze on luxurious italian linens every night?! Since Chris runs hot while I’m always cold, I choose Frette’s Movement Light Quilt for a light cover that would be enough to keep me warm without burning Chris up! It’s a beautiful quilt with a modern textured design. I paired it with Frette’s Kala Border sheet set & extra shams for a subtle chic look!
I love the look of statement lighting and wanted a whimsical mood mood for the bedroom. When I spotted this gorgeous flush mount from Joss & Main, I knew it would be perfect! The design casts the most mesmerizing pattern onto our ceiling!
Balance was key for us while picking out pieces for our apartment. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too girly, nor too masculine so that Chris and I would both love it. I adore the tufted look and so we decided on Joybird’s Hughes bed in a neutral light grey Premier Fog fabric. It’s such a stylish, mid-century modern bed and it was perfect for our Casper mattress!
We have mixed metal looks throughout our apartment but I decided to keep the bedroom to strictly silver. Since the room was so light and bright like the clouds, the chrome touches are like silver linings! These Double Shade Chrome Table Lamps have a glamorous, shimmery shade while the design is on the masculine side. They were one of the items we picked out where Chris and I knew right away they would be perfect for our room. To really kick it up a notch, we added this gorgeous Vezzena Octagon Mirrored End Table, also from Lamps Plus, for a statement piece in the corner. Oh, and I moved my perfume collection to the dresser to clear up space on my nightstand.

November 4, 2017 at 10:56 amQuestion for you on the Joybird bed. I was looking to buy this exact model, but am trying to determine if it is compatible with an adjustable base. Could you have set up this bed without the wooden slats that are supporting your mattress? (In other words, would the headboard, sideboard, and footboard stand on their own?)
February 9, 2019 at 8:54 pmHi there! I’m not sure, as we’ve never tried it without the slats. We use it as is. Joybird’s customer service might be able to tell you better than I would. Hope that helps!
