My first brand new car!!! Okay, so technically we bought our last couple cars brand new, but they always felt more like my husband’s cars than mine, for obvious reasons; he wanted them, picked out the specs, and always drove them. The last car I had and actually drove, was my pre-owned 2002 Lexus IS300! It’s 17 years old now, but boy was that car such a reliable champ. We eventually sold it to a friend a few years ago, who appreciates imports, and enjoys fixing them up. I always had a luxury SUV on my dream board (my first dream board had a blue BMW x5!) but I never drove our other cars because I was always too nervous to, and well, I enjoy being a passenger more than the driver, or so I thought…
We bought the original Porsche Macan S shortly after they first released the model, and absolutely loved it. When we traded it in for my husband’s 911 GTS, we immediately knew that we would want to add another compact SUV asap. As much fun as a sports car is, having a utility vehicle was also important to us. So for the past few weeks, we researched, shopped and test drove all sorts of cars… but our old Macan S was always at the back of our minds.
After deliberating, comparing features, weighing our options and budget, we decided to head back to Porsche Downtown LA to check out the latest models. When I test drove the newest Macan S, I immediately knew this was the one. I mulled over a few color options and almost went with Miami Blue, until I saw it in Carmine Red and fell head over heels! This one feels different, like it’s really mine, because I got to choose the color and picked out all of the options… and I actually have the bug to get behind the steering wheel again! It took a lot of work on the dealership’s behalf, since they didn’t have this particular build in stock and had to ship it here for me, but I’m so glad they did because she is perfect!
This was technically meant to be a wedding anniversary gift, but it came early & I’m not complaining about it 😉 lol! I’m so excited that Chris has his dream car, and now I have mine!!

Porsche dealerships tend to have a reputation of being difficult to work with; we’ve learned this first hand from having shopped at, and even purchased from other locations. Some would try to convince us to settle for a color or even model we didn’t want. It felt like our wishes weren’t a concern, and we were just a number. That’s why we went straight back to Porsche Downtown LA this time to see Eugene Fong again. We had such a great experience buying my husband’s car from him, that we knew there was no reason to visit any others. Not only does he provide the luxury experience we would expect from such a prestige dealership, but he when it came time for delivery, he was just as pumped as we were, and that really helped to make the experience a truly memorable one. When you’re making such a large purchase, you have every right to be excited and deserve to celebrate and enjoy the occasion! So, if you’re in the market for a Porsche, we highly recommend Eugene at Porsche DTLA – and let him know we sent you! 🙂
Xox,

P.s. I don’t think I need to say this, but just in case; this is not a sponsored post (I wish!). 😛
