Who splurges on a new bag just because it matches her new shoes? Apparently, I do. Well, it wasn’t just because they matched but that didn’t hurt the cause either 😉
I have a history of designer bag hoarding, particularly Louis Vuitton bags so when I spotted this beauty, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. So perfectly haute pink, what was there not to love? Then Fatal Obsessions sent me these stunning Schutz heels in Salmon and I couldn’t help but constantly imagine them together. Louis Vuitton calls this epi leather shade Corail (french for coral, naturally) and well, coral and salmon are almost the same thing, right? Fast forward a couple weeks and I found myself convincing my husband to stop by the Topanga Canyon mall with me after work. The last time I was there was when I set my eyes on her and at the time, they had all 4 colors on display. This time, Corail & Jaune Pale (french for pale yellow) were the only two left. I wore my Fatal Obsessions heels to the store just to make sure the colors went well together (not like I wouldn’t have bought Louise anyway, because I would have). Everyone was clearly as excited as I was about this match made in heaven as I had their sales associates coming up to me asking about my shoes! A swift debit card swipe later (April being my birthday month as a legitimate justification for my splurge), I had her safely tucked away in a dust bag, inside a box, in the shopping bag.
SO EXCITED.
I opened it right up as soon as we sat down inside Neiman Marcus’ restaurant for an early dinner and of course, immediately wore her.

Thanks so much for indulging me and reading my overdramatic story 😛 I must warn you, you’ll be seeing me with this shoe & bag combo in heavy rotation this season lol! Gotta make it worth it with the cost per wear, right?
Xox,
