I love the shape & fit of this Bardot peplum corset top and the refreshing pop of neon it adds so to make it a little more Fall appropriate I paired it with my new edgy leather Sam Edelman boots & equally tough looking chain draped bag & faux leather jacket.

Remember this Glamour feature I shared a couple weeks ago? Well I had such a fun time playing dress up with the Penny Chic Team that day and stayed around to shoot a second look! I adored the color, texture and fit of these velvet Walmart pants Shauna had and instantly wanted to pair them with this varsity jacket – playing off my love for mixing textures! I enjoy mixing patterns & colors but I LOVEEE mixing textures the most! I’ve always been drawn to clothing pieces that combine faux leather (for example these looks here, here, and here) so when I spotted this faux fur, herringbone tweed with faux leather coat on Missguided, it was that head over heels, uncontrollable, love at first sight, sweaty palms, omgimusthaveitrightnow feeling. I layered it over this gorgeous silk blouse, knit skirt and leopard pony hair belt from Jack Wills. My necklace is a current favorite from ShopLately – it’s like 4 layered necklaces in one! Finished off this look with my faux leather JustFab satchel & faux suede heels – it was a texture mix made in heaven!

I usually dress pretty boring for the corporate world because let’s be honest here, no one really cares about fashion in the high tech sales industry. It also doesn’t help that I occasionally always take forever to get ready so keeping my work outfits simple and professional is a safer bet when it comes to punctuality. Sometimes, though, I get restless and need to inject a little excitement when it comes to office fashion. This is a look I recently wore to a lunch meeting and I can definitely see myself wearing looks like this (basically mixing in more color & textures) to work more often.
