I flew to New York to meet Sydne and her sweet baby boy Preston, for a couple important meetings we had scheduled. Since it was so hot and humid out there in the middle of Summer, I decided to leave the jewelry off, and keep my hair up the entire time. Luckily this Masai dress was such a beautiful a statement on its own, and the light and airy cotton material was so perfect for the weather! I wore it with my gorgeous new PARIS/64 bucket bag, and super comfy Zodiac sandals that made walking around the city a breeze.
Can you believe it was my first time flying in 4 years, since NYFW Oct 2019?! It is so strange going from jettsetting back and fourth to NYC multiple times a year, for blog projects and Fashion Week (for well over a decade 😮) to not flying in so long! I actually experienced really bad jet lag after this trip 🥲 something that used to only happen when I travelled overseas. I did it all by myself too, because we flew from different cities… but that’s not as crazy as the fact that Sydne flew all by herself with her baby and multiple check-in luggages 🤯 like, how even!? I could barely handle my very lightly packed carry-ons! She’s such an incredible mama!
It ended up being a very special trip because we stayed in Tribeca and got a chance to visit Battery Park, and Brookefield Place and Plazas. Our appointments were also all in the Upper East Side, so we played tourists in the city, visiting some other iconic landmarks that we normally drive right by like Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and St Patrick’s Cathedral, where they had a gorgeous display of pink flowers! I may have also made Sydne visit American Girl and the FAO Schwarz store there with me, because of my recent obsession with dolls lol. I got Preston the cutest FAO Polar Bear (that Sydne named after Chris!) and myself a Barbie The Movie Doll in Matching Plaid, the one that’s sold out everywhere! 🥰

Special thanks to Sydne for taking these photos of me! 😘
Have you been traveling recently?
