I shared a list of my favorite powder highlights a few weeks back and of course, I wanted to share a separate list of the best cream highlights, too! Although they can be intimidating to play with at first, they are just so amazingly universal that they quickly become addicting to use! You can use them underneath your foundation for a subtle glow from within, like Peter Thomas Roth’s 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Prism Cream, that will just lightly glow from under your makeup. Mix a drop or two of one of these, like Becca’s Champagne Pop,  into your foundation for a gorgeous all over dewiness or kick it up a notch for some real J-Lo glow by mixing in the even more intense Custom Enhancer Drops by Cover FX. For a more pronounced highlight, I usually love lightly tapping the product on top of my cheekbones to bring light to the high points of my face or you can use the convenient built in brush on Smashbox’s Halo Highlighting Wand. When I want to make a bolder statement I’ll layer a powder highlight over top which I’ve found especially effective with Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator.

Don’t be afraid to play, though! You can use any of these products in any of these manners – underneath your makeup, mixed in with your foundation, layered over top (even over powder), or layered under a powder highlight, which is what makes them so incredibly versatile!

What’s your favorite cream or liquid highlighter? 🙂
