My relationship with Kevyn Aucoin Beauty was love at first sight. I happen to get The Sensual Skin Fluid Foundation as a gift during New York Fashion Week a few years back and instantly fell in love with how flawless it made my complexion. Every time I wear it, without knowing, my husband will compliment me about my skin. If anyone would notice, it’s the one person I see on a daily basis lol! I even featured it in my very first makeup tutorial video. Since then, I’ve tried and personally purchased more of their collection over the years, and many of them have become my must-haves!
I recently added The Neo Highlighter to my collection and love that it includes a gorgeous combination of three of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s bestselling highlighters; Sunlight, Starlight, and my longtime favorite, Candlelight! You can sweep the ombre palette all together for a warm glow, or use the shades individually to enhance separate areas. I love sweeping all three together on the tops of my cheekbones, but I’ll use Candlelight down the bridge of my nose, and Sunlight by itself to warm up my forehead and temples.
In addition to my love for The Sensual Skin Fluid Foundation, I’m also obsessed with The Gossamer Loose Powder! This powder makes your skin look absolutely flawless – it’s hands down my Holy Grail under-eye setting powder! There’s not a single powder out there than can make my skin look as smooth and crease-free all day as this one does, without baking! (Keep in mind that I used to swear by Laura Mercier’s Translucent Powder, La Mer’s The Powder, and RCMA’s No Color Powder before trying this one!!!) I just take the enclosed puff and tap it on the dispenser, then gently press my under-eye area to set my concealer. It’s insanely easy and just stunningly flawless!
I’ll admit that I probably hoard makeup brushes as much as makeup itself lol but I must say, Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s brushes are certainly among my favorites. These photos, even the professional ones, do not do them justice! They are absolutely GORGEOUS in real life. So well made with seamless ferrules and luxurious, lucite handles. I’m constantly reaching for my Contour Brush to use with The Sculpting Powder in Medium. They’re not just amazing to look at but they blend beautifully, too!
Have you tried any of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty’s products? What are your favorites?
