R&B Red Carpet Look with CoverGirl & ULTA

R&B Red Carpet Look with CoverGirl & ULTA

With award season in full swing, I partnered up with ULTA & Covergirl to share an R&B inspired red carpet look with all of you! Using some of my favorite CoverGirl products, below is a step by step tutorial on how I achieved this edgy, dramatic red carpet worthy beauty look.

R&B Red Carpet Look with CoverGirl & ULTA

I prepped my skin by cleansing with Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser & moisturizing with Olay Regenerist Micro-Scultping Cream (also shown is Regenerist Intensive Repair Treatment). I’ve also been whitening my teeth with Crest’s 3D White Whitestrips Supreme Flex Fit and giving my hair some much needed TLC with Pantene’s Dry Defy collection.

…Next, I applied my base of foundation and concealer… are you ready?!

A look at the CoverGirl products I’ll be using to achieve this look: CoverGirl’s Eyeshadow Quads in Notice Me Nudes, Full Lash Bloom Mascara, Bombshell Powder Brow & Liner in Dark Brown and Medium Brown, Colorlicious Lip Lava in Live Love Lava & Outlast All Day Lipcolor in Red Hot

First, using CoverGirl’s Eyeshadow Quads in Notice Me Nudes, I applied #1 over my entire eyelid. I then brushed shade #3 over my lower eyelid blending all the way up to my brow bone. I used the applicator included in the palette to apply #2 on the inner lower portion of my eyelid, gently blending out. To make my look more dramatic and smokey, I worked the darkest shade, #4 into my crease and outer edges of my eyelids.

Next I used CoverGirl’s Bombshell Powder Brow & Liner to fill in my eyebrows (don’t forget to use a clean spooley to brush through your brows and clean them up!). I used the same Bombshell Powder in dark brown to add smokiness to my waterline and layered on my signature dramatic winged eyeliner. Then, I added a light layer of Full Lash Bloom Mascara (since I’ll be layering on false lashes later on, this will create a light base for them to sit on). Finally, I wanted a eye catching bold lip that would last, so I used CoverGirl’s Outlast All Day Lipcolor in Red Hot and then layered an even more dramatic Colorlicious Lip Lava in Live Love Lava over it for an extra punch.

Voila! Now I just need to add on a pair of dramatic false lashes and my makeup is ready!

I completed the look with a dramatic braided up-do thanks to the team at Glam Squad!

What do you think of this edgy R&B inspired look? Is it ready for the Red Carpet??
