This New York Fashion Week trip was such a whirlwind! Luckily, AT&T sent me the pretty fun LG Optimus G Pro as part of their new campaign, Take Your Shot (more on that in another upcoming post!) I received it right in time to bring it with me and capture my experiences in NYC! I hope you enjoy this NYFW photo diary 😀
I took a redeye flight with my girl, Joo, and we enjoyed a mini kick off to NYFW with some oh so fancy wine & cheese LOL! Thanks, JetBlue!
Our first day out there, we did some shopping with Ted Baker (love this pink coat!) and finished it off with lunch at Vitae! So yummy!
…and then we ended our first NYC night at the Editorialist Launch Party!
The very first official morning of NYFW Day 1 – we managed to get up, ready and out in time to make it to BCBGMaxazria backstage and their runway show! It was an amazing combination of menswear inspired pieces with clean lines using light airy fabrics in neutral tones & pops of prints. Watch the entire show below 🙂
(I need those pants at 7:04!)
After BCBG, I ran into my girl Kristen from Glitter ‘N Glue and had to snap a shot of us in almost matching haute PINK!
Next up was Tadashi Shoji’s Spring runway show – loved the sheer fabrics, timeless silhouettes and Spring plaids! I adore the feminine curve enhancing dress at 7:49 in the video below with the mix of subtle tartan and lace!
Right afterwards, we watched Desigual! I absolutely ADORED their non-traditional show! The models were so cute, skipping down the runway, twirling and blowing kisses! Definitely stick around for the finale in the video below 😉 I also loved that their collection was still full of bold prints but much more wearable this season!
Day 2 of NYFW for us started off with Noon by Noor – I loved the combination of a burgundy leather pencil skirt and bold blouse at 4:12 & the adorable pair of shorts at 7:19 were to die for… but this stunning dazzling blue peplum dress was my favorite! I’m loving that peplum silhouettes are here for good! You can see it at 6:19 below.
Afterwards, we headed down to Soho to visit our favorites (like the beautiful Jennifer Heal pictured with us here) at Bollare!
NYFW Day 2 came to a close with a luxurious dinner courtesy of the Four Seasons!
The three of us enjoyed blow outs thanks to DreamDry the morning of NYFW Day 3
We were on our way to watch Mara Hoffman’s Spring 2014 show when we made a stop at Vogue’s Runway Retreat to check out Brahmin Atelier’s Gifting Suite! Love the new collections – especially the animal print version of my favorite Brookline Satchel!
How amazing are those killer braids & love Mara Hoffman’s signature bold mirrored prints, as always! I’m still day dreaming about the printed short set at 6:30!
The shows were too close to make it to Herve Leger backstage, but we managed to get to our seats with time to spare! The collection was mind blowing with their notorious bandaged everything (except with a twist, unexpected bandaged tartan prints & fringe!), seductive cutouts and edgy gold zipper hardware details. I loved every single look. My favorite, though, was this cape jacket! You can see it in the video below at 1:21. I also loved the black and white jacket at 4:08 and short set at 7:31.
NYFW Day 4 started off early with the AllSaints Spring 2014 Presentation (check out my instagram video of it here!)
On our way back to Lincoln Center, we visited StyleList for a tour of their offices – love the decor in every room!
We made it back in time for Tracy Reese – loved her mix of prints and the live music was so fun! I adored the fun flirty dress at 9:04!
Afterwards, I ran into (and finally met) my long time blogging friend Taliah from FashionWasHere.net! It was SO GREAT to meet her in person 🙂 we’ve both been virtual friends, commenting and supporting each others blogs for years now!
Next up was the RewardStyle Rooftop party!
Later that night, we also attended the SocialyteGala!
The next morning (NYFW Day 5) we got up bright and early for our DBA Gifting Suite appointment – one of the fun things I picked out were these BCBGMaxazria Square Aviator Sunglasses! They’ve quickly found themselves in heavy rotation.
I unfortunately didn’t make it back in time for the Tommy Hilfiger show which was such a bummer but I love love love all the scuba pieces!!
Afterwards, we visted 3×1 Denim where we customized our own pair of jeans and afterwards, made a few showroom visits where we met this little cutie, Amy Pie!! We ended the night off meeting with some wonderful friends for drinks & dinner.
NYFW Day 6 started off with mimosa’s and sweet treats at the Olivia + Joy showroom!
We also got to preview their Spring 2014 collection – this clutch was my favorite!
Then we stopped by the Colgate Beauty Bar where I had my hair braided! Loved their adorable Popsicle cocktails, too! We were supposed to squeeze in a few other shows but it was cutting it close to our flight back home so we ended up heading to the airport right afterwards.
… and I came home to this 🙂 the SWEETEST bouquet ever!
Photos were all taken using the LG Optimus G Pro via Take Your Shot.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this extra long blog post 😉 lol!
