Sue Wong – The Cedars

The week before last, I was invited to a special private dinner party at Sue Wong’s beautiful estate – The Cedars. It was absolutely breath taking – opulence would be an understatement. Gilded from floor to ceiling, every single room was absolutely epic! Built in 1926 for MGM director Maurice Tourneur, previous residents include Marilyn Monroe, Johnny Dep and Jimi Hendrix (we got to tour the home and even saw Jimi Hendrix’ room where he was inspired and wrote Purple Haze). When Sue acquired the mansion in 2004, she restored it reflecting its Old Hollywood Glam history. The event was truly such a treat!! I can’t even begin to imagine living in such a place – seriously mind blowing!
