Fitbit recently sent Chris and I coordinating Fitbit Alta HRs, their newest wristband that monitors your heart rate throughout the day! Similar to the original Alta, this newer model also automatically tracks your hourly activity, calories burned and steps taken to reach that 10,000 daily goal. It’s made us so much more aware of how much physical activity we have day in and day out. Since we both work from home, I especially love that it encourages us to get up and move around more throughout the day. 😉 Let’s just say it’s quite a reality check when you realize you barely moved 3K steps lol! Oh and one of our favorite features is the smartphone notifications – you can see who’s calling, receive calendar alerts and preview text messages when you’re near your phone! The Alta HR has an OLED touchscreen that displays the time and date; you simply tap the screen to view your stats like how many steps you’ve taken, calories burned, heart rate and time active. The sleep monitoring goes even further in depth by recording your time in light, deep & REM sleep stages so that you can monitor your sleeping patterns and habits. We’re both exercising and moving around more now, while also sleeping better!
