The gym I frequent always has it’s air conditioning cranked down to 60° so I tend to wear warmer outfits (saving my shorts for outdoor days or hot yoga!) I like to wear something long sleeved or I’ll bring a light sweatshirt or windbreaker with me. Of course by the end of my workouts, I’m loving the cool A/C but at the beginning, it makes it harder for me to warm up. I love Ryka’s pullover because it’s light, loose and comfortable, keeping me warm when needed but still allowing air flow and movement.
For my last post in this Fitness Fashion series, I wanted to share a couple of my go-to gym workouts 🙂 I always try to do at least 30 mins of cardio 5-6 days a week because it’s super important to keep our hearts healthy! I usually opt for the elliptical because it’s low impact making it easier on knees, ankles and feet. I like to change up the routines a bit by sometimes focusing on my heart rate, running to raise it up to 80% max for 3 minutes, lowering to 25% for 3 minutes etc. or other times I’ll alternate going forward & reverse. My other go-tos are the Seated Leg Press (work those glutes!) and leg lifts to work the core & lower abs. These are just a few of my faves – but I always designate certain days for each area of focus, though many obviously overlap (arms, chest & back and leg days).
