Harem pants are one of those looks that I’ve admired for seasons, years even now, but took me time to muster up the courage to give them a shot. Some people pull them off beautifully while others look like they… well, just didn’t look so hot. I’d tried them on countless times while out shopping and would always hand them back to the sales associate. Then, when I was in Forever 21 a few weeks ago and tried these on. It wasn’t so bad! The feel reminded me of yesteryear’s palazzo pants. Maybe this specific pair was a little more forgiving; the crotch isn’t nearly as baggy and dramatic as some I’ve tried on before… whatever it was, I really loved them and they were oh so comfy on – like pj comfy. So comfortable, I’ll be sure to lounge around the house in them after the harem pant look is tired.
Even though I made the purchase, I was still skeptical and they ended up sitting on my dresser for weeks. Then my husband decided to take me out to dinner one day when I was exhausted from work so I decided it was time to try them out. We went to the Paradise Grille and let me tell you, delicious food and comfy pants is the ultimate fashion foodie combination. ;p
Xox,
An
PS forgive me for the crappy quality of the photos – I can’t ever seem to get them to look right when they’re taken at night. It’s the flash, I know π

April 4, 2011 at 9:19 amLove the Harems and the simplicity with which you styled the outfit. I live in harems and although they can appear like slacks and joggers, I believe they can be as smart as you want them to be which you prove perfectly π

April 4, 2011 at 10:22 amHi An! The outfit is beautifully put together! I was looking at your past outfits and wanted to know where you got the brown Christian Louboutins (gabin 140 kid). They are soo cute!!! π
April 4, 2011 at 3:24 pmhi Char π thank you!! I actually bought the Loubies from Nordstrom last year (little known fact but my favorite shopping tip – only certain Nordstroms locations carry Louboutins but you can go to any of their Salon Shoes department and request for them to order for you!)
