The NYE outfit that never happened – well, it happened, just the following day, instead 🙂 . Chris and I decided to cancel our dinner reservations and stay in for New Years Eve. We cooked dinner and popped open a bottle of sparkling wine and rang in the new year in our comfy pajamas next to our cozy fireplace. It was perfect; just us two.

My parents always told me you should spend the first day of the new year how you want to spend the rest of the year so, I couldn’t let this outfit go to waste 😉 . I wore it out to dinner New Year’s Day instead! I love the shimmery gold fabric on this Last Night dress – it’s not offensively sparkly, but shimmery enough to make a statement. I would have twirled around in it alone but it’s still chilly here in LA so the jacket was necessary, but it worked! Plus it pulled in my new Sole Society pumps – I’m always a sucker for toe embellishments and this metal plate on the toe really takes the cake!
