This past weekend was Julianne Hough’s birthday! ( 😉 Happy birthday, beautiful!) Her collection with Sole Society has been such a big hit – how fabulous are my new red pumps she designed?! This style (Giselle!) happens to be my favorite, having them in nude as well (worn here). I’ve been drooling over the haute hot pink, black & mint versions, too! They’re like the perfect go-to pair for the office or out on the town at night to grab drinks with friends. So cute, comfy & easy to wear! Have you checked out her shoes? Which is your favorite?

Happy Friday, Everyone! Last week, my good friend Sydne Summer hosted a super fun 70s Skate Night party in Glendale. We all dressed up in 70s inspired outfits – I decided to base mine off of That 70s Show because who doesn’t love Mila Kunis?! These flared Lucky Brand jeans & belt were so perfect for the occasion! Layering on some fun blingy gold bracelets and I was all set 🙂 What would you wear to a 70s themed party?

Can we talk about how great these camouflage jeans fit?! I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of camo jeans for what feels like ages. I had that Zara pair that everyone got their hands on but they just didn’t fit me right – too narrow around the legs/thighs and too wide and baggy around the crotch/waist (see?). The problem? My curvier than your average legs. Now, please don’t get on my case about being small and making that statement 😉 I know I am on the petite side but my legs really are thicker – I don’t have a thigh gap (unless I stand with my legs in the most strategic ways lol) and well, it is what it is and I’ve learned to accept love it. When I first spotted these CJ by Cookie Johnson camo jeans, I didn’t get a chance to try them on but I loved the lightly distressed wash and my heart skipped a beat knowing that they’re “…jeans with an awareness and appreciation of the true female form.” There was that glimmer of hope for the ideal pair 🙂 well… my dreams were answered when I finally tried this pair on for the first time, months after I first saw them. Not only did I love how they looked on but I was instantly obsessed with how they FEEL on! So comfortable! No dreaded muffin top, bunching at the crotch, or awkward pinching behind the thighs. They really are made for all shapes and sizes! I love how they look and feel on me but if you’re one of those lucky girls with the thin long gams, they would look super cute on you, too! I mean, I’m kind of head over heels for how great they are on the Zappos model here, don’t you think? That perfect, on the go, casual California feel. So, thank you Cookie Johnson for making a new premium denim line that doesn’t make me curse my genes 😛 (read more about Cookie and her new denim line made for women of all shapes and sizes here).
