After shooting this outfit post, we decided to wait out traffic by indulging on dinner at Church & State, a French restaurant with awesome industrial urban decor in Downtown LA, instead. We started off with a couple cocktails (which I can’t believe I forgot to take a photo of! Ughhh!), Oreilles de Cochon (crispy pig’s ears) & Moelle de Boeuf (beef bone marrow). Their bone marrow dish has got to be the biggest we’ve seen in an order! Usually it’s just half a femur at other places we’ve dined at. It’s likely not for the faint at heart but really, if you haven’t had it, try it at least once! It’s delicious & always a must order for us when we find it on anyone’s menu (and Church & State executes it perfectly!) Our next courses included the Tarte à l’Oignon (onion tart) which was more like a French style flatbread pizza and Mary’s Canard, a perfectly cooked duck breast & confit leg. Both dishes were absolutely delectable especially the succulent duck breast! We finished off our feast with Church & State’s Strawberry Rhubarb, a slice of their rhubarb pie & scoop of strawberry sorbet. Talk about a perfect pairing! Overall an amazing meal 🙂

Jeans are always easy to style with but sometimes they can also easily become the background of the outfit which is why I love pairing them with black & white looks for some fun contrast like I did here! My top stands on it’s own, having such a dramatic print, but next to my jeans, it makes the blue denim really pop! Plus, my fun unexpected geometric jewelry and sexy strappy pumps kicks it up a notch, too 😉
