New York Fashion Week SS13 – Outfit of the Day #2

My second day at NYFW was spent in comfort after spending the previous day torturing my feet lol. This gorgeous skirt was perfect for attention grabbing but at the same time, so comfortable and light that it was by far, my favorite outfit to wear during the trip! It was also ideal for the ugly (to me, at least) humid rainy weather there. The shoes were gifted to me from my MAGIC trip – they’re genuine leather and felt like I was wearing flats or flip flops! Seriously, I was comfortable from head to toe. Definitely making note of this for Fashion Week next season!

New York Fashion Week SS13 – BCBGMaxazria Backstage & Runway Show

Seeing a show up close and personal is already an amazing blessing but having access to see what goes on behind the scenes backstage is a completely different story – an incredible experience that just leaves you breath-taken! Honestly, if I had to choose, I’d rather go backstage to see behind the scenes than watch an actual show 😉 but both? Dream. come. true. The BCBGMaxazria Runway show was by far one of my favorites and has had me thinking of leather harnesses (and where I can get my hands on one!) ever since. I’m obsessed with all the different variations BCBGMaxazria showcased – white leather, black leather, waist cinching, hip grazing, sewn in harness’esque appliques – swoon! New York! Our first full day was spent at IFBCon (plus a little, okay, a lot, of shopping in SoHo!). We loved visiting all the booths they had – below are my favorites!

Julep added a gorgeous glitter ombre effect to my nails! If you love nail art and haven’t heard of Julep Maven, you’ve got to check it out here!! It’s a monthly club unlike any other – you get 3 Julep items (2 nail polishes + 1 other product) every month for $19.99! Of course, you can always skip months, too. If you’re anything like me and have had other monthly beauty clubs in the past (like Birchbox) nail polishes were always my favorite and pretty much only product I’d really use from boxes I receive anyway so because of this, the Julep Maven club is PERFECT!

Touching up my lip gloss 😉

Getting my makeup touched up at the Bare Minerals booth! Love their new READY SPF 20 Foundation! It’s as if they heard my prayers 😉 I have always shy’d away from BareMinerals because I make a mess of loose powders but this one is pressed & just plain awesome!! Yay for a great foundation option that’s better for your skin!

I had a great time meeting fellow bloggers and visiting all the booths there! Can’t wait to try all my new Julep Maven & BareMinerals goodies! Hope you guys all had a great weekend 🙂 I’ll be publishing NYFW posts later today and the rest of this week – SO MANY PHOTOS TO SHARE! Stay tuned!

Last Saturday, before I jetted off to NYC, my husband wanted to take me out on a date night since I would be gone for so long. This current NYC trip is the longest we’ve ever been apart 🙁 and just a week before this, I was out of town at MAGIC Las Vegas. So to make the most of the couple days before I had to leave, he made dinner reservations at one of our favorite local hidden gems and we had a delicious dinner with perfectly prepared martini’s while enjoying live music. It was such a sweet and romantic way to finish off my weekend.

I actually wore this similar look in Vegas at the All Saints Private Preview party but since we hardly took any pictures, I figured date night was the ideal opportunity to re-wear it but styling it with different accessories like this awesome Oasap clutch. I love how bold and ample the studs are, plus it’s well made and eye catching. It’s the perfect size to hold my Droid (because it’s bigger than an iPhone lol), ID, lipgloss and MAC powder compact. A statement clutch is always a winner in my book 😉 .

I hope you’re all having a great week! When this post publishes, I probably just finished watching my very first MBFW show 🙂 so exciting!! Can’t wait to experience it all and share it with you guys!
