Vegas bound next month, again!

So a couple posts prior, I mentioned my weekend trip to Vegas and my fun shopping hauls. Well, I’m actually heading back out to Vegas again next month! I’m so excited; this is going to be a completely different experience from all my previous trips (which are A LOT living in Southern California – I’ve probably gone at least 3 or 4 times a year, every year). Actually, come to think of it, this will already be my 4th visit, this year alone. I will be heading to Vegas for Magic with some of my fellow lovely bloggers of Two Point Oh! LA 🙂 We will be there the entire week participating in all sorts of fun! Though we’ve already done the research to find the best deposit by mobile casinos in UK and I’m sure we’ll try to squeeze in some time for black jack, poker and/or the slots, there will be lots of Magic fashion related events and hopefully lots of time to shop, too!

My dearest Sheryl of Walk In Wonderland is part of the group going and we’ve been chatting a lot about the festivities. Our biggest concern? The weather. It’s Vegas. It’s the desert. It’s the middle of summer. It’s supposed to be 102° the entire week we are there and historically, has been as high as 110°!! So although we are so excited about the trip – we’re also trying to figure out what to wear that can help us bare with the extreme heat outdoors while still feeling comfortable in the notoriously chilly casino and convention center A/C indoors. What we’re not so concerned about? Looking over-dressed. Fashion in Las Vegas is obviously all types of extremes and wildness! I’m definitely looking forward to cool flowy pieces, bright colors, fun prints and of course, cute comfortable shoes 😉

Last month, SEEN Global invited me to their Blogger Bash in Atlanta but unfortunately, I couldn’t make it out there. They sell all handmade pieces and practices fair trade fashion, distributing jewelry from all over the world! You can read more about them and their mission here. SEEN Global was kind enough to send me two gorgeous handmade necklaces from Kenya since I wasn’t able to attend their event. I wore the necklaces together for a fun pop of color 🙂 I love how the tiny seed beads reflect so much light adding a little sparkle, too!

Thanks so much Seen Global! Maybe next time I’ll be able to make a trip out to Atlanta, GA for your future events!

I apologize for not having much to write about, I’m in pretty bad shape right now 🙁 I had an emergency appointment yesterday to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Needless to say, I’m in a lot of pain and under pretty strong pain meds. I didn’t do general anesthesia because I’m a wuss! Instead, I opted for local anesthesia so I was awake during the process. The needles to numb my mouth hurt like hell but the actual process of taking my wisdom teeth out wasn’t bad at all. Just a little scary hearing the sounds of the drills and watching them literally pulling the teeth out. Now I just look like a beat up chipmunk and my face feels like it has it’s own heart beat; throbbing and extremely sore. Here’s a

Retail Therapy: Vegas Edition!

We were in Vegas this past weekend and naturally, I spent the majority of my time there shopping 🙂 Fashion Show Mall always has a special place in my heart, particularly since TopShop, Forever21 and Zara are right next to each other (someone must have been thinking of me when they leased the store spaces out lol).

I also picked up these jeans from TopShop but left them off the collage because they’re just a fun basic I snagged on sale, love the fit, though!

As I previously mentioned, I’ve been posting my hauls on my social media pages like Facebook and Google+, but decided to make a little exception for my Vegas purchases because, well, I always have a lot of fun shopping there 😛 . I had the pleasure of checking out TopShop’s Personal Shopping department – all the girls there were super nice and accommodating. I absolutely adore the idea of their complimentary personal shopping service and love that it can be customized for special events like birthdays, bachelorette parties and any fun group shopping get-together. Shopping at TopShop is already so much fun but throw in a private room, champagne and treats along with it? What is there not to love? Glen Ivy Hot Springs – Corona, CA

If you watched this video, you probably heard me talk about taking my husband for a spa date for his birthday. This might sound a little unusual for guys but he really enjoyed it (and there were actually tons of couples there together, too). We went to Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, CA and enjoyed the resort along with a couple treatments, as well. It was so nice to unwind, take a break from the craziness of Los Angeles, get away from the traffic, work, our hectic schedules and most of all, our phones 🙂 lol. The only electronic device I kept with us was my trusty old Waterproof Canon Powershot D10 (aka, the camera I used to use for all my blog posts back in the day!)

Notice anything about these pictures? I’m wearing makeup! Well, just eyeliner and mascara. I used my trusty MAC Liquidlast liner and MAC Zoom Waterfast Lash Mascara – both are completely waterproof and stayed on the entire time through saline pools, mud baths, mineral pools, everything!! I love them, I used the same eyeliner on a trip a few years back to Cabo and fell in love with it’s staying power. If you’re looking for eye makeup that will withstand the power of weather, tears, pools etc. These are them.

After jumping in the mineral pools and relished in Club Mud pictured above, we enjoyed Stress Relieving Massages, soaked in the saline pools and then headed over to The Grotto for an ultra moisturizing treatment, pictured below.

We absolutely loved these treatments! The Grotto was amazing – you take this elevator down to a man made cave where they slather your body with a light green body moisturizer of aloe vera, shea butter, coconut oil, and other beneficial elements. Then you get to relax in the warm Hydrating Chamber while your skin soaks in the rich moisturizer. Afterwards, you rinse off in their Granite Showers, relax in the Cool Mist Chamber and get to enjoy a variety of teas and crisp green apples. It’s perfect because all the other treatments and amenities detox your skin & body but that means they are also very drying so enjoying The Grotto moisturizing treatment is perfect afterwards to re-hydrate!

The entire day was so much fun. I highly recommend coming here for anyone in Southern California looking for a relaxing day trip or anyone visiting socal 😉 We definitely look forward to coming back next time we need to get away from the city… which could really be every weekend lol.
