Rebranding: Preview + Sneak Peak!

So many exciting things are currently brewing that I can’t wait to share them with you guys when I get more details about them! I mentioned that I’ll be going to MAGIC in just under two weeks but I’ll also be flying out to NYC for IFB Con & Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with my girl Sheryl of WalkInWonderland just two weeks after that!

I’ve had plans to give my blog a makeover for quite some time now but with these huge events quickly approaching, the pressure is on! My current layout is just a generic wordpress theme that anyone can get so although it’s cute and fun, I really wanted something more unique, that reflects my style and that I can make cohesive for HautePinkPretty across the board. This is where one of our best friends, graphic designing mastermind, Creative Director Joe Lazaro 🙂 comes in. He’s simply a genius. He was the brilliance behind the branding of our wedding – making it cohesive from start to finish; Save The Dates, Website, Invites, Stationary, “Press Wall” Photo Booth, Wedding Cake, everything! So when it came time to talk about the rebranding of my blog, bringing Joe in was a no-brainer. After 15 logo designs, 5 revisions, 10 business card designs (with 10 different front and backs) and 4 revisions to those, we have winners! Yes, plural. Honestly, if it were up to me (being as indecisive as I am) I would probably have 20 different variations of HautePinkPretty’s logo and 14 different business cards to hand out lol. That’ s just how gorgeous his custom creations were!

So I finally narrowed it down to a perfect logo and 2 perfect business card designs and you know what? I’m going to keep both. I asked Joe if it was weird having 2 versions of my business cards to hand out and his response was pretty awesome, “I don’t think it’s weird to have 2 different designs… it’s like having an outfit I guess, whichever one you feel like giving out that day :).” Now, without further ado, here’s a preview of my business cards and it will also serve as a sneak peak of the makeover HautePinkPretty.com is getting…

😀 I am so in love with them!! I cannot wait for all the upcoming events to have these on hand! Now for the fun question 😉 who’s going to these same events – MAGIC, IFBCon & NYFW?

Happy Monday, everyone 🙂 I hope you all had a great weekend! These heart shaped sunglasses are so much fun, I wore them Saturday running around town, they make me feel like a kid again except they’re kicked up a notch being covered in Swarovski crystals. One of my favorite online accessories stores, ShopLately, where I regularly shop at and mention here, partners with a variety of brands and Kristin Perry is one of them. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a breakfast on the rooftop of the beautiful Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood for the Australian “it” label, Suboo. They had just finished an amazing show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim Miami and jetted over here to the West Coast for this breakfast among other events. We previewed their SS’13 collection while enjoying coffee, fresh fruit and mingling with the designer, Sue Di Chio, and her amazing team. The collection was absolutely stunning; fresh, vibrant prints, beautiful clean lines and dreamy silhouettes.

What To Wear

Dip Dyed Denim Jacket

…Though, I keep thinking, wouldn’t this be a dip bleached denim jacket? lol

These are just a few fun shots from The Griffith Observatory. We took my Sister in-law & her family here while they were visiting over the weekend, the breath taking view of LA there never gets old. It was our first time to the Observatory during the day; our first visit was at night – I highly recommend visiting both during the day and at night because they really are two totally different experiences!

I mentioned PLNDR earlier this month in this post. It’s a fun new flash sale site by Karmaloop that has tons of popular streetwear and hip urban accessories – you can check it out and sign up here. I always enjoy flash sale sites but most of them out there cater to such a wide range of people, styles and aesthetics that half the time, none of the sales really interest me… just not my “steez” lol. I particularly love PLNDR because, well, it’s from the same people who bring us all the awesomeness of Karmaloop so if that’s the style and look that appeals to you, it’s a no brainer!

I’m always a fan of all things studded and all things with fringe so when I was skimming PLNDR and stumbled upon this mint fringed and studded cross body bag, I just had to have it! I love that it adds such a fresh twist to an outfit and though it’s small, fits just what I need (my wallet, Droid, lip gloss and sunglass case)! Plus being able to wear it as a cross body bag is always convenient especially for running errands or shopping. I wore this comfy casual look while out site seeing with my Sister in-law and family when they visited us this past weekend – my hands were free to shop, much on snacks and run around playing with my niece and nephew 🙂

My new Celine sunglasses were a fun mini-splurge I treated myself to after a successful follow-up appointment with my oral surgeon giving me two thumbs up for my wisdom teeth extraction healing as expected! Yay for no more tenderness and yucky meds 🙂

Oh and I also attended a breakfast event this past weekend in West Hollywood for Suboo, an Australian label that was a huge hit at the recent MBFW Swim in Miami. This scarf is actually a sarong and happened to be one of the gifts in their swag bags (hooray for swag goodies we can actually use!) – blog post on the breakfast coming soon, too! 😉
