So, I know I mentioned posting another set of photos with Michelle and including tips she gave me but alas, I haven’t had a chance to put that post together yet. Today is not only month-end, but it’s quarter-end and my day job is as demanding as ever right now. Though these photos are from towards the end of our photo shoot, I figured I’d take this opportunity to post them first before the tips so I’m hoping you guys can bear with me for now.

After running around Little Italy, changing outfits, running around some more and changing outfits yet again, we ended up at Underbelly in Downtown San Diego – a new (I think they opened towards the end of 2011) pub that boasts amazing Japanese ramen. We were not disappointed – plus their beer selection was pretty awesome, too! 🙂 It was the perfect place to wrap up our day. We were a little bummed that the seats we got ended up casting shadows everywhere but when Michelle sent me the photos a little while after, the shadows gave the photos a mysterious feel and we totally fell in love with the way they came out (some below).

Good beer, great food and awesome company.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a nice week 🙂

I recently did a super fun collaboration with Michelle Hayes Photography; I’ve mentioned her before here including a guest post* I did with her. When we met with Michelle for our first wedding anniversary shoot* while in Manhattan NYC, we knew we made an awesome choice. She is young, fun and super creative! Not to mention obviously talented. Michelle was visiting San Diego, CA the other week so we met up for a day and did a great shoot with a few different looks while in Little Italy, Downtown San Diego. She gave me some awesome tips on photography, lighting and poses, all of which I’ll share with you guys in one of my upcoming posts! (*if things look a little wonky, it’s because her blog is currently getting a makeover!)

Btw – I’m sorry I disappeared for over a week 😉 I’ve been a bit of a zombie, exhausted from work – but I’m back! I have a LOT of posts coming up this week, at least 4 including a feature on a new shop by one of my good friends, a great giveaway and another post with Michelle featuring those aforementioned tips! Mint is all the rage this season and I’m loving every bit of it 🙂 So fresh, bright and fun! I bought this blouse a couple weeks ago (mentioned in my most recent haul post) and decided to wear it with this old H&M dress seen here. The blouse is sheer so wearing it over a dress knocked two birds with one stone – cute “skirt” look + built in camisole effect lol! I was thisclose to actually tossing this dress out, that or dying it a dark color. I wore it to a friend’s beach wedding a few months back where they served many delicious dishes, one of which had an amazing red wine reduction sauce – which ended up all over the front of my dress, of course, because I’m lucky [a klutz] like that. After dozens of oxyclean soaks, stain remover sprays and washes later – the stain faded but was still very much visible. When I was trying to figure out what to wear, saw this blouse hanging near where I tossed this dress aside, well, it just clicked! Yay! Saved!

Anyway, my husband bought me these Baroque Runway SS’11 sunglasses from the Prada store at Crystals during our spontaneous trip to Vegas last month. I’ve been dying for these sunglasses but could only barely find them in Havana Brown or Black – never this two toned color. They’re sold out almost everywhere and backordered from Prada so when I saw them on display, I was ecstatic! I’m so in love with them!! My Fendi’s have been in heavy rotation for a while now so it was perfect timing for a new pair.
