This sweater is definitely a favorite – I’ve already bought it in two other colors. Wearing it brings me back to my all girls private school days… a fun way to make a not so preppy outfit feel so.

With 5 different holiday parties quickly approaching for us (and five different outfits I must put together!!) I realized I needed to get hostess gifts arranged asap, as well. Some of the parties we’re attending, we’ll be bringing dishes for everyone to enjoy, but for those we aren’t, a hostess gift is definitely a must. These are a few of my favorite finds so far 🙂

As much as I enjoy seeing how the seasons change in other areas in the Fall/Winter, I love the fact that I can rock an outfit like this here, that may seem ridiculous to most people outside of southern California. It’s rarely too cold for shorts and/or opened toed shoes here – at least I avoid the combination of the two, right? ;p Balance!
