Forever 21 Black Jeggings | Hot Pink China Glaze Polish with OPI Black Shatter Katy Perry Crackle Nail Polish | Sam Edelman Lorissa Pumps in Black Leather
I jumped on the crackle/shatter nail polish band wagon. I’m a bad blogger and forgot to upload my shots of my hands… they’re hot pink with Grey China Glaze Crackle polish – but I’ll be sure to include it in my upcoming post featuring the actual outfit I’m wearing in these shots – that in itself is a completely different post lol 🙂
I’ve had my eye on these Sam Edelman Lorissa’s for a while now but the thought of purchasing them never crossed my mind. Not because of the look (for me, the more outrageous the better 😛 ) but because of the price range – and not the reason you’re probably thinking. I’ve mentioned my obsession with shoes before on here but I didn’t really bring up my “go big or go home” mentality when it comes to fashion. See, I’m very extreme. I have shoes that cost me (literally) a couple bucks and some that were in the triple digits. Shoes like these, what I consider in the median price range, never really enticed me. Anything between $150-$400, regardless of how amazing they were like these $200 Lorissa’s, I’d instantly disregard them and think to myself that I’d either rather get a few pairs of less expensive shoes for that much money or save up for the big guns like my favorite Louboutin’s or Choo’s… But, recently I’ve been giving them more thought. I find myself swooning over Boutique 9s, Jeffrey Campbells, Pour La Victoires, Charles Davids and Sam Edelmans etc. Perhaps it’s the influence from other fashion bloggers or maybe my empty bank account from splurging on high-end designers… whatever it is, I definitely see my so-called median price range designer shoes in a new light.
What really pushed me over the edge with these Sam Edelman Lorissa’s was when my friend Joanna Gayle (aka Sugarette) posted them on her facebook 😉 seeing her post definitely reignited my interest in them and the next thing I knew, I had both the black leather and nude leather Lorissa’s ordered on Endless and on their way to my doorstep overnight. Yep, I bought them in two colors… I couldn’t help myself.

P.S. Despite what the reviews for these shoes say, they did not run big for me. I bought my true size and they fit perfectly. I think it really depends on your width. If you’re narrow or regular, get your actual size. If you’re wide, get it a half size bigger 🙂 HTH!
P.S.S. More photos of my nails and the Lorissa’s here in a new post.
