Chris and I are always bouncing back and forth between books, reading a chapter here and there while we share notes. As we’re reorganizing and decorating our bookshelves in our new apartment, I thought it would be a fun opportunity to share some of the new books we’re excited to read this Summer! Click through the slideshow below to check them out:
Obviously our theme is consistently self improvement lol! 🙂 What are you reading this Summer?

Happy Monday, everyone, I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend! I managed to sneak in some time for an at home spa session and I’ve partnered with Freeman Beauty to share my tips on how to use their new Beauty Infusion Cleansing Charcoal & Probiotics Clay Mask, especially since it’s cruelty-free, dermatologist tested and doesn’t contain any parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or mineral oil! I really enjoyed the cool, smooth texture and loved how it cleaned my pores and how refreshed my skin felt afterwards! Learn more here and follow along below for my three easy tips:
I love applying my mask in the shower because it saves me so much time by letting the mask set as I soap up or shave my legs. Masking in the shower also makes it super easy to rinse off! Freeman Beauty Infusion Cleansing Charcoal & Probiotics Clay Mask comes in a tube packaging which makes it so convenient for me to keep on my shower cady but of course, keep yours wherever is convenient for you! I love that you can use it anytime and anywhere, whether it’s bright and early to start your morning or right before you jump into bed, or at the gym after an intense workout or like myself, in the shower!
When you’re applying the mask, be sure to use the tips of your fingers to gently massage your face and neck. This helps stimulate your skin while also feeling so luxurious and calming!
Speaking of luxury, if you’re not masking in the shower, enjoy some herbal tea while you wait! Not only will the tea help relax you, it also helps to hydrate you, which we all know directly affects our skin. Depending on my mood, sometimes I’ll opt for a green juice to really kick the healthiness up a notch!
I can’t wait to start sharing more home decor with you all but we still have a LOT of work to do 😉 LOL! In the meantime, I thought I’d share 5 of my easy bathroom upgrades for a more spa-like feel in our guest bathroom!
1. Bath Tub Caddy – I was never much of a bath person but only because our old apartment had the tiniest tub ever. Now that we have a nice bath tub to soak in, a bath tub tray or caddy was a must! There are so many to choose from, and some of them even have iPad stands or wine glass holders!
2. Bamboo Bath Mat – Â I love the feeling of stepping out of the sauna onto a bamboo bathmat whenever we’re at the spa. I found this one on Amazon and love how it really elevates the look of the entire area!
3. Bath Pillow – If you’re taking the time to relax in the bath, why not make yourself a bit more comfortable, right? I picked a beaded pillow with suction cups for our tub, but there are also some really cool shapes and sizes for different preferences!
4. Rolled Towels – Rolled towels instantly remind me of the spa. A stack of rolled up towels just looks so chic! It also makes laundry more fun and so much easier to store.
5. Small Bench or Stool – this little stool I recently bought is so useful! I use it to keep extra products handy or for shaving (especially in our stand up shower which doesn’t have a ledge for me to rest my foot!)
