I took advantage of the warm weather here in LA this weekend by busting out my nautical goodies from recent shopping hauls. A bit early but hey, why not? These shorts were a touch shorter than I’d like so it worked out nicely with the high-low blouse – just long enough to make me feel a little less hootchie. My poor Lita’s haven’t had any fresh air lately because I somehow wore down one heel tap while Black Friday shopping last November. Yes, just one of them. Thankfully, a local shoe cobbler rescued them for me and now they can come out to play more often!
I finally took my husband to Urth Caffe this weekend for brunch before the big game. It’s my favorite café up here and I always go with girl friends but for some reason, never got around to taking him. If you’re ever in LA, I highly recommend stopping by one of their locations. The drinks are amazing (and beautiful!) and the food is just as delicious. Their turkey burger just replace their chicken curry as my favorite food to order at Urth. MmmMm!

An

I like your outfit, especially the blouse. The weather is nice where I am too. We’re kind of sad that NE Patriots lost 🙁 so, no celebration.

I love how you have the shirt styled with this outfit. Those shoes are phenomenal! I have seen latte foam stencil designs one time before. So cool to see them again here 😀

February 6, 2012 at 11:17 amBTW. BF jeans are not just for the tall and skinny. One of my colleagues signature looks are the boyfriend jeans worn with a basic 3/4 sleeve tee and strappy flat sandals. She is 4’9″ and looks quite cute everytime she wears them. They are also perfect for a lady with a boyish figure. Morgan has this type of body shape too so whenever you are out shopping and you happen to come across a pair, give it a try 😉
February 6, 2012 at 11:36 am😀 Thanks, Chanel! My hips are a on the wide/curvy side so I think that’s why boyfriend jeans scare me but I’ll give them another shot <3
February 6, 2012 at 11:45 amGraffitied backgrounds are my favorite places to shoot. The polka dots are super cute!

February 9, 2012 at 9:58 amok, first of all LOVE LOVE LOVE this oiftut!! I think its my favorite so far and I would definitely rock it!Jeans? I love Express for jeans they last forever i feel like and aren’t too bad price wise (usually about $80). I still have (and am actually wearing as we speak) my first pair of skinny jeans that I ever purchased! I got them from Express back in 2005 so 6 years later they are still my go to and not in the these are my old pants and are just so comfortable but rather in a this are awesome! they haven’t faded at all in 6 years and still go with everything kind of way. Also, New York and Company has a similar quality to Express, and most of their jeans are only $59.

February 8, 2012 at 1:54 amYou are werking this look!!! The shorts look so fab on you. That blouse from F21 is gonna get scooped up by me so don’t be surprised if you happen to see it on the blog, LOL!
February 8, 2012 at 3:27 amGet it girl! It’s part of their new “exclusive” line. Quality is impressive! Their other sheer blouses are usually super flimsy IMHO but this one is a better. You’ll love it!

February 8, 2012 at 8:51 am[…] flats in the next. Maybe I’ll play with combining it with the polka dot blouse I wore in the post before this one… ♥ Now if only I can get over my insecurities and rock some flats! […]
